Assigned to the Toxicology Section. Duties were to receive and examine blood, urine and other body fluids for volatiles, prescription and illegal drugs, write reports regarding findings, and provide court testimony when necessary.
Assigned to the Questioned Document Section as Technical Lead. Duties were to receive Questioned Document Evidence, normal casework responsibilities of a forensic document examiner, write reports regarding findings, and provide court testimony when necessary. Responsibilities also included the administrative and technical supervision of other examiners assigned to the Questioned Document Section; speaking to various groups regarding the field of Questioned Documents. Responsibilities also included conducting research in the laboratory on new technology in the field, emerging or developing methods, materials or techniques for approaching problems faced daily by forensic document examiners, and reporting interesting, new, or unusual findings from casework activities.
Completed handwriting examinations to determine common authorship or authentication, examination of signatures, indented writing, obliterations, determine method of production, document authentication, and reviewed casework completed by other examiners.
